The youth of Beni, in North Kivu, must not give in to the manipulation of politicians in this pre-electoral period. The appeal was launched on Saturday June 10, 2023 by the urban youth council.

According to Benjamin Asimoni, young people have a vital role to play in the electoral process. However, they are being targeted by politicians for manipulation.

The first vice-president of the urban youth council therefore urges his peers to be rational and not give in to the whims of politicians.

Muhindo Tsongo Jean, honorary president of the Kyaghanda Yira, urges residents to take ownership of the electoral process, right up to the vote of the people’s representatives at all levels.

It is important to remember that time is passing and the DRC is moving slowly and gently towards the final stage of the electoral process.
