20 people have died following the cholera epidemic in the city of Bukavu, South Kivu

Almost two hundred cases have been recorded every week for two months at the cholera treatment center, located at the Bukavu general reference hospital, according to medical sources.

Meanwhile, in Tanganyika Province, The chief doctor of the Kiambi health zone in the territory of Manono (Tanganyika), Dr Jérôme Kyungu, informs that the number of cholera cases is on the rise in his health zone. It has recorded more than 300 cases, including around 20 deaths, since May 20.

Dr. Jérôme Kyungu points out that the provincial government; partners and some individuals provide medicines and other inputs for the care of the sick.
