Doctor Yves Tibamwenda discourages tobacco consumption to combat certain diseases

Doctor Yves Tibamwenda, a doctor and cardiologist at Bunia General Referral Hospital, discourages smoking, which he says has no positive impact on human health. On the contrary, he says, it has a negative effect on health.

In an interview with on the occasion of World No-Tobacco Day, celebrated on May 31st of this year, he states that excessive tobacco consumption can cause certain diseases, including cancer.

The medical specialist advises tobacco users to try to give it up gradually, to protect themselves from digestive diseases.

Since 1987, May 31 has been World No-Tobacco Day, a day to raise awareness of the impact of tobacco on human health.
