Christians urged to reflect during Holy Week

Rev. Godfrey Kermu Jalgoi the Parish chief for Panyimur COU has asked all Christians to reflect the life of Jesus to help them move in the image of Lord Jesus christ

Holy Week is the week preceding Easter and the final week of Lent. It begins with Palm Sunday and ends with Holy Saturday, the day before Easter Sunday.

During Holy Week, Christians commemorate the Passion of Christ, who died on Good Friday in reparation for the sins of humanity and rose on Easter Sunday to give new life to all who believe.

Speaking to our reporter Jalgoi said, the week is meant to let us reflect on the significance of our faith and if a Christian focuses and reflects deeply on what is going on during Holy Week, one could come to a serious depth of conversion and understanding of the faith.

He said there is always a constant need to ponder the significance of everyone’s presence on earth.

He pointed out that it is incumbent on all Christians to take what they believe seriously.
